In this article, we’ll introduce you to the team behind Civil Coffee, including owners Alex and Alan Morales. Learn about their mission and philosophy. Check out their Figueroa, too. They’ve won several awards, including the coveted Best New Business in San Francisco award. And, if you’re in the area, you’ll be sure to be satisfied with their coffee and pastries. Besides coffee, they also offer light meals for breakfast and lunch.

Alex and Alan Morales:

If you’re tired of secondhand clothing, you may have been to a Civil Coffee. The owners, Alex and Alan Morales, know something about brewing coffee. They’ve been doing it for nearly three years now, and you might have even visited them in a tent at Coachella. But what do these guys know about brewing coffee? They are here to teach you. In addition to the coffee, the owners know a thing or two about the art of espresso.

First off, the brothers are brother and business partners. Alan Morales is the head of operations and the other oversees the food menu. Alex handles branding, PR, social media, and product development. The two also share the overall vision and oversee daily operations. Despite being brothers, the Morales brothers have a lot of respect for each other. They work together on everything from the menu to the business plan.

Their mission:

You might be asking yourself, what is Civil coffee’s mission? While coffee is one of the best ways to get social change started, the mission behind the company goes far beyond serving good coffee. This social enterprise fosters community, promotes creative conversations, and collaborates with other rad folks. In addition, Civil coffee is dedicated to sustainability, sourcing its coffee beans from sustainable farms, and exploring new flavors by using timeless techniques. You might have heard of Civil coffee if you’ve been to the city’s local coffee shops, but haven’t been in one yet?

Their Figueroa:

If you’re looking for a good cup of joe in Highland Park, look no further than Civil Coffee’s Figueroa location. This neighborhood favorite serves espresso and milk lattes and a full breakfast from 7am-2pm. You can also indulge in the store’s tempting pastry menu. The Figueroa also features Civil’s take on avocado toast. This Highland Park coffee shop is located at 5629 N Figueroa St.

The decor at Civil Coffee is also worth a mention. The space is bright and airy and features bright tile and marble walls. The interior is designed to appeal to seasoned coffee drinkers as well as novices. The mirrored counters and exposed brick add to the modern feel. The coffee beans are roasted fresh on-site daily and are served in small batches. Civil Coffee is located in the hip, innovative Highland Park neighborhood.
